Brian Quigley, Executive Vice President at Conor Commercial Real Estate, would like to announce that ground has officially been broken for their latest project, Last Mile Logistics Center I-55. The logistics center will be located at the intersection of 51st and St. Louis Ave. in Chicago, Illinois. A ceremony was held on Wednesday, June 20th at the project site where Alderman Ed Burke, along with Brian Quigley and McShane Construction Company CEO, Jim McShane, spoke about the upcoming project.
Last Mile Logistics Center I-55 will be a 316,550 SF state-of-the-art spec facility situated on 19.6 acres of land and offers a Class 6b tax incentive. The building will feature 55 truck docks, a 36′ clear height, 71 trailer stalls and 50′ x 52′ bays. Divisible to 50,000 SF, the facility offers logistical advantages with its close proximity to I-55 and the CTA Orange Line within the South City submarket.
“It is great to see more developments and opportunities coming to the southwest side of Chicago,” remarked Alderman Ed Burke. “Businesses have great advantages to succeed here because of the close proximity to major expressways, railways and the airport. They are also surrounded by a very dependable and energetic workforce.”
Construction is being completed by McShane Construction Company with a six month target date.
